Cody earned 10 varsity letters at Niwot in baseball, basketball, and football. Helped Niwot to two Northern Conference championships and District championships. Earned All-Area and All-State honors Senior year.

Cody now plays baseball and studies at Mesa State Universtiy. Cody was redshirted as a Freshman, in 2010.

In 2011, Cody pitched in 14.2 innings for the Mavericks, posting a 6.75 ERA, with a 1-1 record, and 1 save.
