Roger Fisher Varsity Assistant Coach

Roger Fisher has been an Assistant Coach for Niwot for 9 years. Roger is the pitching coach
for the program. He works as an Assistant for the Varsity during the springs and as the
pitching coach for the entire program during the summers. Roger is charged not only with
teaching pitching, but also in helping to plan practices, and calling pitches during games.
Roger spent 2 years as the Head Coach at Boulder High School (1998-1999) and one year
(1997) as the JV Head Coach. Before that Roger had been the Legion A Head Coach in 1995
and 1996.
Roger played 3rd base and pitched at Iowa State University, Trinidad Junior College, and Metro State College of Denver. At Trinidad
Roger's team went 51-11 and qualified for the Junior College World Series.
In high school Roger played at Boulder High School graduating in 1992. During his time there Roger hit more than 60 home runs in
the springs and summers and compiled a 17-6 record on the mound during the springs. In 1991 Roger led Boulder to the State
Championship. Roger threw a shutout in the title game and also hit a home run during the game, which Boulder won 8-0. He finished
that season 10-1 with a 1.17 ERA.
Roger currently works as an Operations Manager for Vector Property Services in downtown Denver. He is married to his Junior
High School sweetheart Katrina and they have two daughters Jordan who is 4 years old and Paige who was born in 2006. Jordan
currently is throwing left-handed and according to her dad throws, “GAS although her command is suspect unless she actually is
trying to hit you in the face”. Paige is currently learning to walk before she begins her throwing routine. The proud parents live in
Lafayette.
