Niwot Baseball Former Player Nick Saraceni 2007 Graduate
|
Nick Saraceni started in the outfield for the Cougars for 3 years. Nick
leaves Niwot as one of the fastest players ever to play at Niwot. Nick
was clocked at one time at 4.5 seconds in the 40 yard dash.
Nick began to see playing time 1/2 way through the 2005 season and
became an integral part of that season's State Championship run.
In 2007 Saraceni became a true leader both through his actions as
well as through his words. The new vocal Saraceni helped direct an
inexperienced Niwot team to the final four.
Nick finished the 2007 season hitting .402 with a .529 on base
percentage. Needless to say based on the on base percentage Nick
was a very effective leadoff hitter for the Cougs.
Nick was named All Northern League and 2nd Team All Boulder County.
Nick's speed translated just as well on the football field as it did on the baseball field. Nick was named the
Niwot Football MVP for the 2006 season. His play earned him a spot on the Holy Cross football team. Holy
Cross entered the 2007 season ranked 25th in the Country.
Nick has now transferred to CU and is playing for the CU Club Baseball Team.
