Mike Owens has coached at Niwot for 4 years. Mike is an Assistant Coach with the Varsity and
works with hitting and defensively with the infielders. Mike is a year round coach with Niwot
working as the Head Coach on the Legion B team in addition to his spring coaching. In 2007
Mike's Legion B Team won the Legion B State Championship finishing the season with a 40-19
record.
Mike played collegiately at the University of Maine and also at the University of Southern Maine.
In college Mike primarily played 3rd base.
Mike recently began his first teaching job at Indian Peaks Elementary School in Longmont.
Mike still plans to coach this coming spring.

Mike and his wife Meghan (also known as Sara) live in Loveland. Meghan works in public relations and sales for Fischer USA in
Boulder. The two are the proud parents of 2 year old Cooper Lonergan Owens.
