Brian Lux pitched for both the 2004 and 2005 State Championship
teams while at Niwot. During the 2004 season Mike Zarlengo went
down with an injury and Lux stepped in and never lost as a Cougar.
Lux finished the 2005 season with a 2.04 ERA and a 5-0 record. In
addition Lux hit 2nd in the line-up posting a .333 batting average.
His batting average does not tell the whole story though as Brian
walked 22 times setting the table for Sean Ratliff. At one point in
the season Lux walked or was hit by pitch in 7 consecutive at bats
leading the coaching staff to conclude that he had a force field that
he put over the plate.

Brian is currently playing at Concordia University along with fellow 2005 grad Kyle Spencer. Brian
should see time on the mound for Concordia. In addition Brian's older brother Steve just finished
playing at Grand Canyon University.
